Stored script execution via unsanitized category name
Published Apr 27, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in Savsoft Quiz 6.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in another user's browser. The Category Page's /public/index.php/Qbank/editCategory handler stores the category_name value and later renders it without neutralizing script markup. Category-edit privileges and subsequent viewing of the affected category are required, bounding the impact to browser-executed actions in the victim's session.
