Room inventory modification via forged removal request
Published Aug 20, 2024 · Updated Aug 20, 2024
CSRF in Hotel Management System through commit 91caab8 allows remote attackers to alter room availability through a forged POST request. The admin_room_removed.php handler accepts rooms and noofrooms without a CSRF token or origin validation, then uses them to decrement available_rooms in the rooms_count table. Exploitation requires a victim to load attacker-controlled content that submits the form, and the demonstrated consequence is unauthorized room-inventory modification.
