Unauthenticated data access via unblocked validation failures
Published Feb 10, 2025 · Updated Feb 11, 2025
Authentication bypass in OPC UA .NET Standard Stack before 1.5.374.158 allows remote attackers to read server data without authentication. The TCP transport fails to track or block repeated Basic128Rsa15 messages that fail security validation, leaving authentication timing observable across attempts. Exploitation requires the deprecated Basic128Rsa15 policy, which is disabled by default, and compromises confidentiality without a reported integrity or availability impact.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
