Unauthenticated privileged code execution via PAPI packets
Published Sep 24, 2024 · Updated Sep 26, 2024
Command injection in affected HPE ArubaOS releases allows remote attackers to execute privileged code via crafted PAPI UDP/8211 packets. The underlying CLI service accepts attacker-controlled PAPI content as command input instead of neutralizing command elements; HPE has not disclosed the parser or command-building path. Reachability to UDP port 8211 is sufficient, and successful exploitation runs arbitrary code as a privileged operating-system user.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
