Authenticated code execution via path traversal
Published Sep 17, 2024 · Updated Sep 18, 2024
Path traversal in Hewlett Packard Enterprise ArubaOS allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code through package installation. HPE has not published the affected file-processing locus or precise path-validation error; the flaw lets a crafted path install an unsigned package on the underlying system. Exploitation requires high-privileged credentials and management-interface access, and successful use permits code execution or persistent implants.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
