File disclosure via unchecked history comparison paths

Path traversal in FitNesse before 20241026 allows remote attackers to disclose file existence and partial file contents over HTTP. HistoryComparerResponder joins the request resource and TestResult filename inputs without canonicalizing them or confining them to the test-history directory. Unauthenticated network access to the comparison responder is sufficient; traversal sequences can probe arbitrary server paths, while content disclosure depends on the selected file and comparison response.
