Credential disclosure via attacker-controlled host addition
Published Dec 4, 2024 · Updated Dec 4, 2024
Credential exposure in Veeam Backup & Replication 12.2.0.334 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read saved credentials. The remote management interface lets an operator enumerate credentials through a session object and misuse host addition with an attacker-controlled IP to receive them in plaintext. A Viewer or Operator role on the backup server is required, and the documented impact is disclosure of stored secrets without integrity or availability loss.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
