Credential disclosure via external method chain
Published Dec 4, 2024 · Updated Dec 4, 2024
Credential disclosure in Veeam Backup & Replication 12.0.0.1402 through 12.2.0.334 allows remote authenticated users to read saved secrets. A series of methods exposed through an external management protocol returns stored credentials in human-readable form to an attacker-controlled system. A Viewer or Operator role on the backup server is required, and the resulting confidentiality loss can enable access to managed systems.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
