Device hang via malformed web requests
Published Oct 25, 2024 · Updated Oct 25, 2024
Out-of-bounds reads in Sharp and Toshiba Tec MFP web pages allow remote attackers to hang affected devices with crafted HTTP requests. Keyword-search and SOAP-message handlers improperly process supplied values and perform out-of-bounds memory references. Exploitation requires network access and normally unavailable device information; the documented consequence is an availability-only hang.
