Heap-memory disclosure via malformed TLS packet
Published Nov 18, 2024 · Updated Nov 18, 2024
Out-of-range pointer use in Cesanta Mongoose 7.14 and earlier allows remote attackers to read unintended heap memory via a TLS packet. Public advisories identify the TLS-processing path but do not disclose the parser function, field, or missing bounds check that creates the invalid pointer offset. The affected application must expose a Mongoose TLS listener to an untrusted network; the reported consequence is heap-memory disclosure without data modification or service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
