Authenticated user-menu disclosure via unchecked RFC module
Published Sep 10, 2024 · Updated Sep 10, 2024
Missing authorization in an RFC-enabled function module in SAP NetWeaver AS ABAP allows remote authenticated users to read other users' menu data. The module returns workplace favourites, menu nodes, and node-specific data for a supplied username without enforcing per-user authorization. Low-privileged RFC access is sufficient to enumerate usernames and disclose other users' menu content, without reported data modification or service interruption.
