CVE-2024-42344

Cross-user configuration disclosure via readable log

Published Sep 10, 2024 · Updated Sep 10, 2024

Information disclosure in Siemens SINEMA Remote Connect Client before V3.2 SP2 allows local users to read other users' configuration data. The client writes sensitive configuration information to a local log file whose permissions allow every legitimate operating-system user to read it. A low-privileged authenticated account on the same Windows host is sufficient to expose another user's logged configuration data; no remote access path is reported.
