CVE-2024-42328

Server crash via empty webdriver response

Published Nov 27, 2024 · Updated Nov 27, 2024

NULL pointer dereference in Zabbix Server 7.0.0 through 7.0.2 allows local users to crash the server via an empty HTTP response. The Browser object's webdriver leaves wd->data NULL when curl_write_cb receives no response body, then dereferences the pointer while reading the result. Low-privileged local access is required, and the documented consequence is interruption of the Zabbix server process.
