Local denial of service via oversized page-cache collapse

Improper huge-page handling in Linux 5.17 through 6.10.2 allows local users to cause a kernel availability failure via file operations. In mm/huge_memory.c, the collapse path can create a 512 MB PMD-sized page-cache entry on ARM64 with 64 KB base pages, exceeding MAX_PAGECACHE_ORDER before xarray splits the entry. The path requires a writable mapped file, MADV_COLLAPSE, and a hole-punch operation; the demonstrated result is an xas_split_alloc warning, with no reported data disclosure or integrity impact.
