Stored script execution via weak input validation
Published Apr 15, 2025 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
Stored XSS in HCL BigFix Web Reports allows remote authenticated users to execute script in another user's browser through saved input. Web Reports stores insufficiently validated user input and later emits it into a report page without adequate neutralization, but HCL has not disclosed the affected parameter or code locus. A low-privileged account must store the payload and a separate user must open the affected content; resulting script access is limited to that user's browser context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=10.0 - 10.0.12; 11.0.0 - 11.0.3
