CVE-2024-42193Network attack vector

Data exposure via improper HTTPS certificate validation

Published Apr 15, 2025 · Updated Apr 15, 2025

Improper certificate validation in BigFix Web Reports 10.0 through 10.0.12 and 11.0.0 through 11.0.3 allows man-in-the-middle attackers to read data. The service fails to validate the certificate presented by its HTTPS peer; HCL has not disclosed the affected code path or exact validation omission. An attacker must interpose on the service's HTTPS connection; successful interception permits unauthorized access to data exchanged over that channel.
