Local file disclosure via repository path traversal
Published Jan 23, 2025 · Updated Jan 23, 2025
Path traversal in HCL BigFix Patch Management Download Plug-ins 1177 and earlier allows local users to read files via repository downloads. The local-repository download path does not prevent traversal outside its intended directory; HCL has not identified the affected function. Reachability requires an authenticated operator and user interaction, and the documented consequence is limited to disclosure of local files.
