Improper password controls in HCL Software MyXalytics 6.3 allow attackers to compromise accounts by guessing passwords for known usernames. The authentication implementation accepts weak passwords and does not lock accounts after repeated failed sign-in attempts. A username must be known, and HCL has not disclosed the affected password-validation or login-attempt handling code; successful guessing exposes data available to the account.
