CVE-2024-4215Network attack vector

Authenticated access via incomplete MFA route checks

Published May 2, 2024 · Updated Feb 13, 2025

Authentication bypass in pgAdmin 4 8.5 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to access the application without completing MFA. Protected routes used login checks that accepted password-authenticated sessions without consistently verifying the MFA session state. A legitimate username and password and server-mode MFA enrollment are required; the resulting session can manage files and execute SQL queries.
