Kernel malfunction via malformed inode range metadata

Improper range validation in Linux NILFS2 allows local users to disrupt kernel operation through a malformed filesystem image. The loader accepts an unchecked ns_first_ino value, causing reserved-inode macros to misclassify inode numbers or perform undefined-width bit shifts. The trigger requires local access and processing of a crafted NILFS2 superblock; published sources do not identify a deterministic failure mode.
