Service interruption via dirty-threshold multiplication overflow

Integer overflow in affected Linux kernel releases allows local users to interrupt service through dirty-page throttling. In mm/page-writeback.c, wb_dirty_limits() multiplies wb_thresh by bg_thresh without a u64 cast, causing wraparound on 32-bit kernels when the product reaches 2^32. Low-privileged local access and the threshold condition are required; default settings with 4 GB of RAM satisfy it, but the public record does not specify whether disruption ends in a hang, crash, or reboot.
