CVE-2024-42049Network attack vector

Unauthenticated control-pipe access via network connection

Published Jul 28, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Authentication bypass in GlavSoft TightVNC Server for Windows before 2.8.84 allows remote attackers to access its control pipe. The server accepts control connections over a network transport, and the pipe can transmit passwords and privileged control commands.
