Post manipulation via missing AJAX nonce validation
Published May 16, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in iThemelandCo WBULKiT 4.2.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to alter WordPress posts via forged AJAX requests. The plugin's AJAX actions accept state-changing requests without valid WordPress nonce verification, enabling post creation, duplication, content retrieval, and taxonomy changes. Exploitation requires an authenticated site administrator to open an attacker-controlled link; successful requests can read content and change post data.
