Remote code execution with stolen service credentials
Published Sep 7, 2024 · Updated Sep 9, 2024
Remote code execution in Veeam ONE 12.1.0.3208 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to run code on an Agent host. Veeam has not disclosed the vulnerable function or how requests authenticated with Agent service account credentials reach code execution. The required service account has local Administrator rights, so successful exploitation runs code with control of the Agent machine.
