CVE-2024-41985

Unauthorized access via nonexpiring idle sessions

Published Aug 12, 2025 · Updated Aug 12, 2025

Insufficient session expiration in Siemens Opcenter Quality modules before 2506 allows attackers to retain unauthorized access via idle sessions. The session lifecycle leaves authenticated sessions valid throughout inactivity and terminates them only after explicit logout. An attacker must reach the adjacent network and encounter a logged-in session left idle, after which the session permits unauthorized application actions.
