Code execution via BDF heap overflow

Heap-based buffer overflow in Siemens Simcenter Femap and Nastran release lines allows attackers to execute code via malicious BDF files. Siemens states only that the applications overflow heap memory while parsing crafted BDF input; no affected parser, field, or unchecked operation is public. Exploitation requires local users to open an untrusted file, and resulting code runs with the current process's privileges; a failed attempt can crash the application.
