CVE-2024-41975Network attack vector

PLC network disclosure via all-interface gateway listener

Published Mar 18, 2025 · Updated Mar 18, 2025

Information disclosure in CODESYS Gateway for Windows before 3.5.21.0 allows remote attackers to enumerate limited PLC network details. The default configuration binds the Gateway service to every network adapter on TCP port 1217 instead of restricting client access to the local host. No authentication or user interaction is required to query the exposed gateway, but PLC user management blocks access to the PLCs themselves.
