Authentication bypass in WAGO PLC devices allows remote authenticated users to alter the CODESYS V3 service through the web interface. The PLC Runtime Services endpoint accepts a crafted HTTP request from a valid low-privileged session even though the setting is hidden and documented as administrator-only. Changing the runtime settings can disable CODESYS V3 authentication, exposing the PLC application layer to service interruption or full system access.
