CVE-2024-41967Network attack vector

Authenticated boot-mode modification via unchecked HTTP request

Published Nov 18, 2024 · Updated Aug 27, 2025

Missing authentication in WAGO controller firmware allows remote authenticated users to alter boot mode through crafted HTTP requests. The Security-tab backend accepts a boot-mode configuration update from a valid low-privileged session without enforcing its administrator-only authorization. User-level access is required; exploitation can redirect firmware selection, alter the upgrade process, or interrupt device operation.
