Stored XSS via unescaped API-log URI
Published Aug 5, 2024 · Updated Aug 5, 2024
Stored XSS in mailcow: dockerized before 2024-07 allows remote attackers to run scripts when an administrator views API logs. The URI column renderer in data/web/js/site/debug.js inserts logged URI data into the API-log table without calling escapeHtml. Exploitation requires an unauthenticated request that plants a crafted URI and a subsequent privileged log-page view, exposing that browser session to data theft or unauthorized actions.
