Database read and modification via unvalidated sort field
Published Jul 30, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
SQL injection in Xibo CMS 2.1.0 through 3.3.11 and 4.0.0-alpha through 4.0.13 allows remote authenticated users to read and modify database data. ProofOfPlay::getResults accepts the sortBy request value as a database column identifier without restricting it to expected report fields. Exploitation requires Reporting access, view access to an arbitrary display, and MySQL as the time-series store, which is the default configuration.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
