CVE-2024-41937Network attack vector

Stored XSS via unvalidated provider documentation URL

Published Aug 21, 2024 · Updated Mar 20, 2025

Stored cross-site scripting in Apache Airflow before 2.10.0 allows attackers to run script through a provider documentation link. The get_doc_url_for_provider function read the installed provider package's Documentation Project-URL metadata and returned any nonempty value without restricting its URL scheme. Exploitation requires a malicious provider to be installed on the web server and a user to click the resulting link, after which script runs in the user's browser context and can read or alter page-accessible data.
