Unauthenticated code execution via unsafe WDDX deserialization
Published Sep 13, 2024 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Deserialization of untrusted data in Adobe ColdFusion 2023.9 and 2021.15 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code. The WDDX path converts crafted packets into objects without an effective restriction to the safe classes defined by the ColdFusion serial filter. No authentication or user interaction is required, and resulting code runs in the context of the ColdFusion process user.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=0 <=2021.15
