Memory disclosure via out-of-bounds read
Published Sep 11, 2024 · Updated Sep 11, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in Adobe Audition 24.4.1, 23.6.6 and earlier allows attackers to disclose sensitive memory through a malicious file. Adobe has not published the affected parser, file format, code locus, or precise bounds-checking failure behind the read. Opening the file is required; the disclosure can reveal memory used to defeat ASLR, with no reported write or service-interruption impact.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
