Sensitive-memory disclosure via malicious file parsing
Published Sep 13, 2024 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in Adobe After Effects 23.6.6 and 24.5 and earlier allows attackers to disclose memory via a malicious file. Adobe has not published the affected parser or the bounds-checking error that reads beyond its intended buffer. Exploitation requires a victim to open the file and can reveal sensitive process memory used to weaken mitigations such as ASLR.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
