Code execution via out-of-bounds ICO write
Published Aug 14, 2024 · Updated Aug 31, 2024
Out-of-bounds write in Adobe Substance 3D Designer 13.1.2 and earlier allows attackers to execute code after a victim opens a malicious ICO file. The ICO parser writes past the bounds of a destination buffer while decoding crafted icon data from the opened file. Exploitation requires user interaction and runs code with the current user's privileges, exposing that user's data and sessions.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
