Reflected XSS via unescaped redirect URL
Published Jul 29, 2024 · Updated Nov 3, 2025
Reflected XSS in Twisted 24.3.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to run scripts in a victim's Firefox session via a crafted redirect URL. The redirectTo function interpolates its URL argument into the HTTP 302 fallback response body without HTML escaping. Exploitation requires application code to expose attacker control over the redirect target and a victim to open it in Firefox, enabling actions in that session.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
