Unauthenticated SSH enablement via exposed web endpoint
Published Apr 8, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2025
Missing authentication in the Siemens SENTRON 7KT PAC1260 Data Manager web interface allows remote attackers to enable SSH on all versions. An exposed web endpoint accepts the service-enablement request without authenticating the requester and switches on the device's SSH service. Network access to the web interface is the only gate; exploitation changes device configuration and exposes SSH, but does not itself supply login credentials.
