CVE-2024-41790Network attack vector

Root code execution via unsanitized region parameter

Published Apr 8, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2025

OS command injection in all Siemens SENTRON 7KT PAC1260 Data Manager versions allows remote authenticated users to execute code as root. The web interface fails to sanitize the region parameter in specific POST requests before using it in an operating-system command. Administrative authentication is required; successful exploitation runs arbitrary commands with root privileges and permits full appliance control.
