CVE-2024-41783Network attack vector

Privileged operating system command execution

Published Jan 19, 2025 · Updated Jan 21, 2025

Command injection in IBM Sterling Secure Proxy 6.0.0.0 through 6.0.3.0, 6.1.0.0, and 6.2.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to run OS commands. IBM has not disclosed which input or code path lacks type validation; the affected path passes user-supplied data to the underlying operating system. A remote user must already hold privileged application access, after which injected commands can compromise the host.
