CVE-2024-41781

KeyStore data disclosure via HMC service procedures

Published Nov 22, 2024 · Updated Nov 22, 2024

Information disclosure in IBM PowerVM Hypervisor firmware allows attackers with HMC service access to decrypt Platform KeyStore data. A series of HMC service procedures locates encrypted Platform KeyStore contents and decrypts them. Service access to the HMC and user interaction are required, and the reported consequence is disclosure of stored data without modification or service interruption.
