CVE-2024-41780

Password disclosure via unmasked entry fields

Published Jan 3, 2025 · Updated Jan 3, 2025

Information disclosure in IBM Jazz Foundation 7.0.2, 7.0.3, and 7.1.0 allows physically proximate attackers to view entered passwords. Some password entry fields render input as plaintext instead of masking it, exposing credentials to anyone able to observe the screen. Physical screen visibility during password entry is required; the flaw itself does not alter data or interrupt service.
