Unauthorized actions via forged trusted-user requests
Published Dec 3, 2024 · Updated Dec 3, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in IBM Cognos Controller 11.0.0 and 11.0.1 allows remote attackers to perform unauthorized actions. IBM has not disclosed the affected endpoint or the request-validation failure that permits a forged request to be accepted as originating from a trusted user. Exploitation requires a user with a trusted session to interact with attacker-controlled content, and successful requests can modify application state without affecting confidentiality or availability.
