Denial of service via complex regular expression
Published Jan 4, 2025 · Updated Jan 6, 2025
Inefficient regex processing in IBM Engineering Lifecycle Optimization - Publishing 7.0.2 and 7.0.3 allows remote attackers to interrupt service. A complex regular expression consumes excessive processing resources, but IBM has not disclosed the affected request handler, input field, or regex pattern. Network access without authentication or user interaction is sufficient, and the reported consequence is limited to service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
