CVE-2024-41760Network attack vector

RSA information disclosure via timing side channel

Published Mar 11, 2025 · Updated Sep 1, 2025

Timing side channel in IBM CCA and 4769 Developers Toolkit 7.0.0 through 7.5.51 allows remote attackers to obtain sensitive RSA information. IBM states that certain RSA operations expose timing differences but has not identified the operation, code path, or secret-dependent step. Network access without authentication is sufficient, but exploitation requires high-complexity timing measurements and only discloses sensitive information.
