Published Dec 18, 2024 · Updated Dec 18, 2024

HTML injection in Cognos Analytics 11.2.0 through 11.2.4 and 12.0.0 through 12.0.3 allows remote authenticated users to run HTML in a browser. IBM has not disclosed which Cognos component accepts the input or how it fails to neutralize script-related HTML tags. IBM's assessment requires adjacent access and low privileges; execution occurs in the hosting site's browser context and can alter viewed content without affecting availability.
