Privilege escalation in IBM Operations Analytics - Log Analysis 1.3.7.0 through 1.3.8.2 allows local users to reset privileged passwords. A low-privilege user intercepts a password-change request, and the server trusts client-side authorization rather than enforcing the account boundary. Local authentication is required; exploitation changes a high-privilege account's password and enables privilege escalation.
