CVE-2024-41743Network attack vector

Unauthenticated service interruption via unbounded persistent connections

Published Jan 19, 2025 · Updated Jan 21, 2025

Resource exhaustion in IBM TXSeries for Multiplatforms 10.1 allows remote attackers to interrupt service through persistent HTTP connections. The bundled WebSphere Liberty profile permits unlimited keep-alive requests by default, allowing persistent connections to consume resources without an effective bound. No authentication or user interaction is required, and sustained resource consumption can make the TXSeries web service unavailable without affecting confidentiality or integrity.
