Out-of-bounds read in bhyve XHCI emulation in FreeBSD allows guest OS users to crash the hypervisor or execute code on the host. Several pci_xhci command handlers use a guest-controlled slot index to access the slot-device array without rejecting zero or values above XHCI_MAX_SLOTS. Exploitation requires privileged software in a guest VM and an emulated XHCI controller; the result is a bhyve process crash or host-side code execution.
