Payload-length disclosure via unpadded broadcast frames
Published Sep 26, 2024 · Updated Oct 17, 2024
Observable response discrepancy in goTenna Pro ATAK Plugin 1.9.12 and earlier allows physically proximate attackers to infer payload lengths. The broadcast framing omits padding characters, so encrypted frame length continues to reveal the underlying message length. No authentication or user interaction is required, but observation must occur within the local mesh radio environment; the disclosed information is message length rather than content.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
